​ER Now’s Insurance Claims
ER Now will submit two (2) claims to your insurance company for your ER visit.

​​1. Facility Claim – Covers staff services, radiology, labs, pharmacy, and materials used.

• Our facility claims are sent under the company names:
  • Amarillo Emergency Center, LLC (Coulter & I-40 location)
  • Coulter Emergency Center, LLC (Coulter & Hillside location)

2. Provider Claim – Covers the Physician’s services.

• Our provider claims are sent under the company name:
  • Panhandle Emergency Physicians, PLLC​

​​Your Insurance EOB
Your insurance company dictates what your expenses will be based on the charges that they allow and the terms of your plan. They will send you an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) outlining how they’ve processed the claims. An EOB from your insurance company is not a bill!
 
ER Now’s Bill
ER Now will send you a bill based on your in-network insurance benefits. If we identify a problem with the way your insurance company processed a claim, we will appeal their decision for you.

• This facility charges rates comparable to a hospital emergency room, including a facility fee;
• The physician providing medical care at this facility bills separately from the facility for their services;
• This facility and/or the physician providing medical care at this facility may not be participating in some patients’ insurance networks;
• Per Texas Insurance Law 1301.155, insurance companies are REQUIRED to process your ER visit at in-network benefit levels, regardless of the ER facility or physician’s network participation status;
• This facility and the physicians providing medical care at this facility are participating in the following insurance networks:
